Vacationing in Costa Rica
Just returned from Costa Rica!!!
Had a wonderful vacation once I got there (over 20 hours en route ). Much better than Mexico. Food and water were good. Never once got sick which I always do when I go to Mexico. Stayed in a small hotel on the beach in Playa Hermosa in the Gunacaste Province (on the Pacific Coast), Hotel El Vellero www.costaricahotel.net. Price was good $89.00 per night and food $15.00 for dinner. Staff mostly all spoke english so communication was no problem. Never felt unsafe here AND the days started with Simone Ferreira's outdoor yoga class www.playasdelspalmas.com at the hotel, then swimming and napping on the beach. Did end up catching a ride on a 66-ft catamaran www.marlindelrey.com that was dead heading down to Tamarindo. Watched the whales and dophins on our way down AND that as very special. Tamarindo was a little too touristie for me so ended up travelling back up to Playa Hermosa for the final few days before heading back home.
The 12 days were too short so will definitely return soon and explore the Caribean East coast and the jungle on my next trip down.
