Marrying Eastern & Western Medicine

I had surgery on my ankle last spring and am finding one does not bounce back as quickly as a 20 year old (last time I broke a bone).

Being an impatient patient, I sourced out help. My NEW road to full recovery embraces Western and Eastern medicine. I go to physio twice a week AND to a homeopathic acupuncturist once or twice a week.

The Eastern approach to healing is new for me AND very interesting. Jen Wasmund is not your typical practitioner. She is in her 30's and English is her first language. When she treats me, she talks me through the session which helps me relax into the process AND I gain a fuller understanding of the application. She "threads" my scars. A bit of a painful process but, 1 month into my treatment, yes my scars are showing noticeable improvement in healing. When she applies acupuncture needles, meridians are opening up and sometimes it feels like a faint electric current running up and down my leg to my ankle.

With Jen Wasmund, she also coaches me on what foods to eat so that my whole body is focused on healing. Makes sense to put high grade fuel into one's system if one expects good results!!

It has been a bit of a challenge to change my eating habits. The NO coffee, NO dairy and NO liquor have been a bit of a lifestyle change BUT I am finding that now 6 months later, I have turned a corner AND have found the right mix of coaching for my road to recovery.
