I have been helping a past client purchase an apartment for their daughter. The daughter is in her second year at UBC. Living on campus in student housings for the first year was satisfactory but not ideal, so, her parents have decided to buy an investment property and have their daughter live in in the apartment to finish her studies. We struggled to find listings AND after 3 days of viewing over 10 apartments, they placed their offer on a 2 bedroom apartment on West Broadway near Alma. Fortunately we are not in competition with other offers so I might be successful in negotiating a price less than the ticket price of $449,900. Really such a limited amount of apartments under $500,000 in this neighborhood, so when buyers find what they want, they must move quickly or they will have their dream apartment snapped up by someone else!
