When I was in New Zealand last month I went to the Mission Hills WInery Music Festival
held once a year in the beautiful Art Deco city of Hawkes Bay in the North Island. Reluctantly I pulled my self away from Golden Bay's gorgeous beaches & Nelson's music & sailing scene to head north to listen to Carole King...revisit my youth & the power of the songs she sang in the '60s. I stayed in a B&B up on the hills in a beautiful home with a very gracious hostess who was also a fellow realtor. We compared notes on business & enjoyed each other's company over great meals & of course the music at the concert. This concert was one of the BIG highlights of my New Zealand visit. Yes the music was fabulous. Carole King at over 70 was truly inspiring & Barry Gibb from the BG's was a trip down memory lane so a great afternoon/evening of good wine ,music & dancing.
