Alaska Kayaking

October 15th, 2012
Just went to Alaska & had a great time kayaking. The weather to my surprise was very mild & sunny. Sure would not want to tip over in the water as that was cold. No suprise as there were glaciers & icebergs surrounding us. Did make for spectacular scenery

Seachelt BC

October 15th, 2012
This weekend I travelled to Seachelt. I was not sure if I wanted to drive over as it is expensive to take tha car on the ferry sooooo I explored other ways to get over to the Sunshine Coast. When i saw a fare of $50. to fly over I jumped on it. I took the sky train to the Water Front Station & walked a few steps to the float plane & in less than 1 hour I was sipping a cool beer in Seachelt.   ...

Gardens & Weeds

August 26th, 2012
I have a fairly large property & decided to let the back 40 remain au natural yes blackberries & all. Through this forested area I have created a limestone path. Sounds like a simple solution to take a stroll through the rustic section of the garden doesn't it??? Well I have been at war with the weeds on this path way for the last few years & the weeds were winning. This year however the war ...

Pemberton, BC, Slow Food Cycle

August 25th, 2012
Last weekend I decided that I would go up to Pemberton, BC for their Slow Food Cycle. It was a semi cloudy day so perfect to head off down the Pemberton Valley for the 445K cycle through the beautiful farm lands. We headed off at 8:00 & stopped every 30 minutes for a bite to eat or a cool drink. I loved the potato farm where we sampled the fingerling potatoes then had a tour of the farm where ...

July 16th, 2012
My iPhone was taken 2 weeks ago & I wish I had had this information when that happened. Of course my iPhone went "missing" on the Friday of the long weekend which added extra stress to a already very stressful afternoon. What I did learn was that the "find me" application through Rogers can ping the phone's location....well approximate location. This app will not give the exact address so 1 h ...

Indian Arm North Vancouver,wireless options

June 4th, 2012
I was kayaking up The Arm last week & lost my cell reception. Not usually a problem for me to be out of the wireless loop for a hour or 2 but this morning I needed to make 1 phone call & suddenly just when I needed it ...no wireless connection. I dipped in out of coves on my paddle up to SIlver Falls to no avail so my relaxing morning turned into a stressful one. When I came back home I decid ...

Spring Market

May 10th, 2012
The sun is shining, weather is warming up and our Spring real estate market is finally… finally… where is our typical Spring market? March sales in Greater Vancouver were the second lowest total for the month in 10 years! April was apparently worse? We are transitioning into a buyers market at an unusual time of the year. Spring is traditionally our very busy time but this year is very very d ...

CMCH, Canadian Mortgage & Housing Association, with The Royal Bank put on a information session for us realtors Friday Ap 13th.
