Cornucopia 2008 - Part 1

Cornucopia 2008 – Part 1

Another successful Cornucopia celebration at Whistler this year! Last Sunday’s palate experience was the Chef’s Table Luncheon at the Cinnamon Bear Bar & Grille with Executive Chef Mario Fernadez & wines exquisitely paired & poured by Christa-Lee McWatters Bond from Sumac Ridge Estate Winery.

One of the highlights was the Sumac Ridge 2006 Black Sage Vineyard Merlot paired with the De-Constructed Beef Wellington – 9 oz bone-in tenderloin with sautéed prosciutto, spinach, hand rolled puff pastry and wild mushroom cream. This Black Sage was my favorite and at $19.95 a bottle, it’s great value for the dollar!

Presentation, food quality and fun people to cruise and schmooze with made this one of the weekend’s highlights!!
