Whistler Cornucopia '07 - Day 3

On Sunday, my son came up to Whistler AND we went to the Wildwood for brunch. This is my favourite brunch spot. Open space with great mountain views AND good food to boot! After brunch I then headed off with some friends to MORE wine tasting!!

This event was called "Big Guns and their Little Sisters" AND was a most informative afternoon spent with David Scholefield and Christopher Perry who presented an exciting lineup of wines, comparing the Big Gun $70-$150 bottles of wine to the inexpensive Little Sisters quaffing wines priced at $20-$30 a bottle.

The Big Gun Torres Mas La Plana Cabernet Sauvignon 2003 at $50 a bottle AND the Little Sister Torres Gran Coronas Cabernet Sauvignon 2003 at $15 a bottle were SO similar, I could not taste the difference.

This was definitely an informative seminar helping you know when to pull the trigger or just the cork!
